Longest day ever!

We finally made it to Beijing at 1am Saturday morning. We should have been here at 2:20 on Friday afternoonbut we had travel issues. We left Dulles as scheduled at 12:20pm Thursday. Four hours into the trip the pilot came over the intercom and said we had to turn around and fly back to DC due to a water issue on the plane. One of the bathrooms broke and we were not going to have enough water in the others to support the number of passengers in the plane. So we flew four more hours, arriving back  in Washington, DC at 9:30pm. So about 9 hours on the plane and we were back where we started! Good times! I was most concerned that this would keep us from going to the Great Wall so I was thrilled when they said we would depart at 11pm. So if anyone wants to know how to stretch a 14 hour flight to 22hours, we can tell you, but I don't recommend it. My legs are hurting today from sitting for WAY too many hours! But we made it and we are thankful!
Our morning started early after a very, very short night (like 2.5 hours of sleep short) and we left our hotel to see the Great Wall at Mutianyu. It was just as wonderful as I remembered and AnnaGrace thought it was fabulous! We rode a chair lift up, walked around, took pictures, and rode a sled down. Anna got to ride with Daddy and he let her drive it the whole way. She said that was her favorite part of the Wall. After the Wall we had a fabulous lunch and then went to an acrobat show. It was amazing! It's now 6:55 and we are trying to stay awake another hour before going to bed. Tomorrow is an early morning. We fly to Guangzhou, get settled in our hotel, and prepare to meet Matthew on Monday afternoon. Please be praying for his heart. His world is getting ready to turn upside down.
